2e TVB Club event
Last Sunday 26-2-2023 was the 2nd TVB club event, an individual ‘forest’ loop.
It was beautiful weather, nice and fresh and later with a sun, even kind of warm.
A new unknown location for many, for others a well-known place to train in a relaxed way, the Leeuwenhorstbos on the west side of the Gooweg.
The club committee had again set out a nice course of 2 km including a spicy hill.
The round was allowed 2 of 4 times are taken, although 3x would also have been allowed.
The participants had to indicate in advance whether they would run the short or long version and also how long they expected to take.
Total appeared 21 men and women at the start, from young to old.
At 10 a.m. the starting gun went off, after Cees had explained the route in his own way through the briefing. Signs were also put up just to be sure, so it couldn't go wrong.
The field soon fell apart, so no platoons. It is a public forest and people like to go for a walk or walk their dogs. Due to the good spread, they and we have, in my opinion,. didn't bother each other.
I was happy to start again, after I was injured in the duoloop.
Binnen 8 minus Martin had already finished the 1th round, so rest followed at an appropriate distance. I had started quietly and just as well. It was pretty tough up that hill, and certainly after 3x. Took it a bit easier with Cees in the last round, it wouldn't happen to me to be injured during the 2nd TVB activity.
Everyone finished in one piece, so I think there are 21 winners.
Afterwards a nice cup of coffee and something sweet.
