After the canceled run-bike-run of 25 March because the Noordbikers needed the mountain bike course for the 8 from Noordwijk, it was on Friday night 14 April time for the duo swim relay. Arie Plug, a new member has written a nice report about the club competition event!
I've only just joined the association so it was a lot of shaking hands and getting to know a lot of people. Since I only know a few members, I was without a swimming buddy for now. After some brief contact, Cees indicated that I could possibly bring a swimming buddy myself, but I was assured that it would be all right. There.. with two kids on water polo I always have a swimming buddy.
Together with my son Lucas we swam in the first session. Immediately I heard some people on the side enjoying his short characteristic water polo stroke.
Unfortunately, this was a hard sensation for me. It won't be long before my 11 birthday son is getting faster than me….
All in all, I have seen many smiling faces and I see many friendships among the members of the association. I would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome to the association and I am already looking forward to the next club competition 17 mei, the duo bike run.
