Zaterdag 8 September Holland Triathlon took place in Almere, not in the familiar Almere Haven where the conflict is largely happening on the dike along the Gooimeer, but around the Esplanade in the heart of Almere. An all-new track, more atmosphere, more doorkomsten of athletes. Half a distance who filled void if the athletes were going to make their kilometers in the polder. The atmosphere was certainly, partly because of the nice weather and a large number of supporters represented .
TV the bulb had both supporters and participants represented over. At the start no less than half 13 atleten. For most of a baptism of fire at this distance, na veel to 1/8 of 1/4 triathlons have done they found the time to take the step to a longer distance. A half triathlon, but a challenge, a contest about 4,5 hour to over 6 uur, competition you do not just like that. Tense but well trained they were at the start with the aim to reach the finish. Unfortunately, it was because of injuries and Frank Henrie v G. not finish the match. De men Tijmen, Frank v N, Paul, Peter, Ruud, Richard, Piet, Leendert, Charles and the ladies Mattea and Ineke finished in one's own way and level the contest, hats off to their lovely performance.
The real men and women took up the challenge over the distance, under their 5 TVBers.Voor Peter D debut, Jos, Dennis, Ben Leon and men with experience. But what is experience worth, every game is different, when will the dips, the aches and possibly even the thoughts I stop it. Usually these feelings come, thoughts while walking. And these dead pieces where practically no audience more state, where you have to rely on yourself, right there are the supporters of the Bulb TV, dressed in blue waving flags, banging music and enthusiastic women, men and children cheering everyone, but of course especially for the TVBers.
Leon could make in preparing insufficient walk kilometers and was well after swam to, super to have cycled on the walking part effort. In the third round, it was really hard but could in the 4e round recover somewhat a thick finished in a new personal record. Jos and Dennis went long side by side, Jos is always smile and there you see nothing off. Dennis that's different, remains smile has time for his girlfriend, but the legs are not going as before. A short preparation underlies it. Peter had a superb debut it still seemed very smoothly and steadily continued and finished the onde 11 uur. Ben and the man with the most experience, had only belatedly decided to participate. Wanted to finish his season with a good feeling. It cost him a lot of trouble, great difficulty, but he would get to the finish, knok acknowledged went into battle and conquered. He won the silver at the Dutch championship in men 55 categories. A cherry on an already wonderful cake.
