Zondag 17 mei 2015.
Voor sommige een memorabele dag om niet te vergeten.
En is er nog een onderscheid tussen positief en negatief.

De (halve)Marathon Leiden was accomplished to a successful conclusion by a number of TVB-ers. Certainly the youngsters Danielle and Jesse performed above expectations, de others (Martijn, Pippin and Dennis, all),(Marcel half) easily made it to the finish line.

stood in Ter Aar 14 TVB-ers to start at different distances and in several start series. Some rookies, rutger, Jeroen and Heleen some cracks and some in between.

Swimming was fine to do in the heated outdoor pool. Beforehand align the starting order and then go, with the goal as fast as possible, not grow weary, gain experience or survive.

Quickly changing and popping on the bike. The wind began to stir up something and turned a bit. But it was doable. Until I got to the bridge for the 2nd time and there saw a teammate. Rob Heemskerk had fallen, fortunately there were already a number of spectators / tvb-ers at. The rest of the ride was something different than I expected. You take the picture with Rob.

then run, on a partially new route. But it went well.
Unfortunately, the results are not yet known, but no TVB-ers were this time on stage.

Rob broke his elbow and shoulder and had surgery. He is now back at home. We wish him much strength. His triathlon season is sadly.

My PR I was suddenly not so important anymore.
