Al 6 I come for weeks ( Mark ) almost never left the house. On a single short morning or evening ride, I ride my training miles in my attic room. Last weeks I did that through a Zwift Meetup with a friend of mine, together but still alone. Hours of sweat, but not advance a meter.

Together with clubmates sports are already there 6 weeks and that is quite difficult.

As input for the The board meeting also asked for a TVB Zwift Group Ride. Nice! It idea was there, move on now. And if you're going to bet high right away, 100km.

For this first session there were actually already 8 TVB people in the starting blocks ( + nog 3 wildcards ): Erica, Brian, Low, rutger, Remco aka Ramon Zarate, Peter, Niels and myself.

As always with the first time, we ran into some small problems. Rutger had just started a little too late and was already behind in advance. That was just full to catch up with the group. Bas had complaints that the elastic did not work for him and that he also had to kick hard to keep up. Once Rutger was up ( the Tour is not waiting for anyone ) and thought he could bulge for a moment, he also suffered from this. Strange I thought, I had done a Meet up with "Keep it together" before and never really heard complaints. After a while I saw Bas pass by on his virtual TT bike in a very fast aero position. Aha! Rutger also turned out to have his best digital triathlon bicycle. Well the rule also applies in Zwift: "Triathletes don't stay" so that's why it didn't work for a while. After inserting a small interlude for a lightning-fast bike change ( we remain triathletes eh ) we could continue as a group.

Peter was able to keep up with 30km. Bas and his son were spotting dinosaurs on the trail and stopped after 1,5 hours in the saddle. Brian was able to continue for another fifteen minutes.

With the leftover 5 We drove TVB people round after round. Each round the group tried to shoot the Titans coarse KOM faster and continued to succeed, until the last round.

For some, it was even the first 100km indoor, shared sorrow is half sorrow. Again next week, different route, same time. Be on time and select the road bike! 😉

Sporting regards Mark
