Divisieverslag – Almere Duin 18-05-2019

After being promoted last year of the 4^denaar de 3^dedivision rose 18 May, the first division game on the schedule. The match in Almere Duin was a Team Time Trial sprint distance (750m zwemmen, 20km cycling and 5km running). During a Team Time Trial is supposed to participate in a team of four members, the third time counting to the result. During the competition it is allowed to stay down at your teammates, therefore it is possible to drive a train. The competition will start with only the members of your team, every 1.5 minute leaves team. Mark de Jong, Jeroen Went, Ed Went and Jeroen van der Valk were the participants in this contest.

TVB as we often encourage each other in matches, but a division game still feels different. Participate and be there, that's what you want. You're with several people involved in both preparing for a game as the game itself. There are trained together, discuss tactics and you have the same goal, namely the best possible result.

We were the first team in the third division which should start. Ed went swimming off easily and Mark could bring, Jeroen Went to do his best to keep swimming to Mark at his feet and at the end of the 750m Jeroen vd Valk had to leave a little hole.

The other two team members have been waiting for Mark and then cycled with his threes.

The walking part was like a rocket. While walking is a lot of time made up the competition. After the drama on the bike was the thought that the team would have to find somewhere at the bottom of the results. Nothing was further from the truth, the finish time 1:09:02 was good for eighth place and one minute away from the stage. This bodes well for the next games, So there is more than an eighth place at the following competitions.
