The season of the TV Bulb 2

In the summer of 2017 is initiated by Jeroen Went to see if it was feasible to establish a second team. Some reasonably equivalent teammates approached, and from the enthusiastic response has been jointly decided to register a second team. The team consisted of commencement: Jeroen van der Valk, Marc Kroon, Dennis Jansen, Mark de Jong, Martin Kerkvliet, Can Chris and Jeroen Went. Later Paul Geurds has joined. We do go to the team competition, also known as the division games. Mark de Jong is crowned our team captain. And as a new team you end up in the lowest division, de 4^edivisie. We jokingly called it the "pancakes division".

Our other TVB team that exists for a number of years is currently in the 2^dedivisie. Perhaps you have in training or competitions heard of here, but for those who do not know what the league contents a brief explanation below.

Arnhem

The league season started in Arnhem with a Team Time Trial (475m zwemmen, 20km cycling, 5km lopen). For everyone in the team a new but challenging format. The time of the third person who finishes counts for the final result, no matter what time to finish other team members. There might be gestayerd, but only for their own teammates! Jeroen V, Jeroen W, Mark and Martin took part in this competition. There was swimming in a train in an outdoor. Every 1:15 could leave a team in its own swimming lane. We started as a third team. By the time we were back from the pool, we were already close to the team that started for us. Here we realized we were already well on the way. Blue TVB train went by bike and soon we took the team for us and shortly thereafter the other teams and we took the first position in the competition. Head over heels riding and other coaching / motivation we went ahead and were the first to come back to the transition area to go to the running stage. Na 5 kilometer walk we were the first team of the season over the finish line! It was now waiting to see what the other teams drop time, because they were finally started later. Finally ended with a sixth place 45 seconds behind the number 3 we knew that at the next race could sit more than a sixth place.

Almere-Duin

The second game was Almere dune, This was a stayer sprint (750m zwemmen, 20km cycling, 5km lopen).It could be there gestayerd everyone while cycling, another interesting race that had not done us. The same team as in Arnhem participated. In this match we were celebrating with the z ` (children Coach)bus from Marieke in order to further increase the team spirit. Jeroen V, Jeroen W, Mark Martin and once again were at the start. After swimming were Martin and Jeroen W reasonable front a small group on the dikes of Almere. Jeroen V cycled in a group behind it and Mark joined later in this group. We finally finished 5^de, 7^deen 13^de. This was enough for a second place! The first stage was achieved, and with a beer in the hot tub there is a lot of laughs, but the contest is fought and apart. Pleasure and performance hand in hand!

City Triathlon Weert

The third game was in Weert (das best driving a brokkie), this was a sprint triathlon (750m zwemmen, 18km cycling, 5km lopen) which could not be gestayerd. Participants were here Dennis, Jeroen V, Jeroen W and Marc. While cycling was busy and had ensured that there was no gestayerd. There were plenty of people this contest had received a blue card, fortunately none of our team. Right away 8^ste, 22^steen 33^steplace the team finished fifth.

Nuenen

The fourth game was in Nuenen, The distance was a triathlon (1km swim, 40km cycling, 10km lopen) and thus the longest in the league. Unfortunately, the game was the same time as that of Noordwijkerhout making a few people were prevented, Paul will Geurds raids came who did more than deserving. Nijmegen 024

Then it was time for the last game. What tension was there. When told we were on the third place in the standings, Fourth place was on our heels but with 1 point difference. So it was all or nothing to take the stage. The fifth place was also still 5 points behind us. In Nijmegen in a crazy game, double super sprint with 300m swim was twice, 6.7km cycled and walked 2km. After the first run had to swim there again, without rest. Chris, Dennis, Martin and Paul did join thereto. The competitions are organized just a little tighter and more professional than you are used to this kind of distances. And team competitions team do you just give a little more than you normally do in a match. Each spot is a point, even if your fourth is - everything counts. And with a great team like basis the team spirit in all competitions was good. Pleasure and performance went well together. Beforehand we did not expect such participation would be a success.

Third place means promotion, So we go back next year to work in the 3^dedivisie. For now we can reminisce on a competitive season with results that we had not thought. In our debut year as a team immediately promoted to the next division!
